What a tragedy Winehouse overdosed in her London home. She had such great talent that is now wasted.  Thinking about her and her family, and keeping her music alive, like with this:  Enjoy !

They try to make me go to rehab; I say no, no, no,
Yes I've been black but when I come back; you'll know, know, know.

Bach Cello Suite Prelude in D - Hiss Cleaning Example with Roxio

Here is the story on this 'lil Bach cello diddy:  I took classical guitar lessons for a year when I was 19-ish in 1985 .. my only formal music training.  This Bach prelude was my crowning achievement and I played for anyone who would listen .. one guy up Pickering Street, Dave, really liked it and borrowed the sheet music - but never gave it back!  It had all my fingering notation on it and by the time I finished university without practicing it was lost except for the first bars.

Then along came - da da dah !!! - the internet, yes that world webbed infotainment highway !  So about 2008, 23 years later I look it up and there she was, tabbed in all her glory and a multitude of youtube versions (a lot better than mine!).  So I re-learned after forgetting it for more than 20 years.  Yay me !

The first version here has a lot of hiss coming into my HP Media Centre PC.  The second has the clean-up in Roxio.  What a difference - too bad it can fill in those missed and mucked-up notes and timing !

FYI - this is the same Darryl Williams handmade classical I originally learned this on.  Musical instruments are  such a great investment.
